A considered approach to scar improvement.
Dermapen 4™ has a dedicated scar treatment setting. Your plan begins with the scar itself: its pattern, depth, healing history and surrounding skin. Indented acne scars, healed surgical scars and stretch marks can require different approaches.
A course is often more appropriate than one appointment. We agree realistic goals and review your response. Active infection, inflamed breakouts or a tendency to form keloids may change whether treatment is appropriate.

Dermapen with exosomes
Ask about an exosome combination option for your skin-quality plan. We explain the selected product, intended application and evidence. Exosome products are not interchangeable, and benefits vary by formulation.
Polynucleotides
Polynucleotide treatments can be discussed alongside Dermapen within a wider plan. Product, administration and timing are assessed separately; an injectable product is not automatically applied through microneedling channels.
NCTF by FILLMED
The NCTF range includes different formulations for skin revitalisation. Injectable NCTF and topical NCTF BOOST are different products. We confirm the appropriate formulation, intended use and whether treatments should be combined or spaced apart.

Your finish may include a targeted mask, Celluma LED light therapy, HyperPlasma, or an appropriate combination. Personally selected aftercare products are also included.

One week before
Avoid retinol, prescription retinoids and strong active or exfoliating skincare for seven days before treatment unless your practitioner advises differently. Tell us about medicines, recent procedures, active breakouts, cold sores, infection, pregnancy, allergies and healing concerns.
What downtime should I expect?
Redness, warmth, tightness and sensitivity are normal after treatment. Mild swelling, pinpoint bleeding, dryness or flaking can occur, especially after deeper work. Recovery varies by area, treatment depth and individual skin response.
The first 48 hours
Avoid makeup, strenuous exercise and excessive sweating, direct sun exposure, tanning, saunas and steam rooms for at least 48 hours. Do not pick, scrub or exfoliate the skin.
Protect your results
Use only the cleansing, moisturising and aftercare products recommended for you. Apply daily SPF and restart retinol, acids and other actives only when your practitioner confirms your skin is ready.

Before treatment
Discuss your goals, skin type, medicines, allergies, healing history and recent treatments. Agree the area, likely course and cost.
During treatment
The skin is prepared and a sterile, single-use needle cartridge is used. Your practitioner adapts the treatment to the area and your tolerance.
Recovery & aftercare
Temporary redness, warmth, tightness and sensitivity are expected. Dryness, flaking, swelling or pinpoint bleeding can occur. Follow the advice on cleansing, skincare, sun protection and resuming your routine.
Progressive results
Texture and scar improvements develop over time. Appointments are spaced to allow recovery; your course and review schedule are confirmed after assessment.
Plan around important events rather than assuming no downtime. Possible complications include infection, pigment changes, cold-sore reactivation and scarring. Tell us about active skin conditions, pregnancy, medicines, impaired healing and a history of keloids so we can assess suitability and explain consent.

Dermapen 4™ or RF microneedling?
Dermapen uses mechanical microneedling. Derma RF adds radiofrequency heat. The choice depends on whether texture, scarring, firmness or body laxity is the main concern. Explore Derma RF.
Can Dermapen be combined with exosomes, polynucleotides or NCTF?
These options can be discussed within a personalised plan. We confirm the exact product, intended use, suitability and timing. A combined plan may involve separate appointments rather than every product being used in one session.
Will it remove scars or stretch marks?
The aim is to improve their appearance. Complete removal is not a realistic promise, and different scar types respond differently.
How many sessions will I need?
Scarring and stretch marks often need a course. We explain the recommended schedule, recovery intervals and price before you commit.
