Derma RF · RF microneedling · Stonehaven

Firmer-looking skin. Smoother texture. Face and body.

Derma RF combines precision microneedling with radiofrequency energy to address skin laxity, scarring and texture. A personalised approach to collagen remodelling, with natural-looking improvement as the goal.

Benefits & indications

Target the concern beneath the surface.

Fine needles create controlled channels while radiofrequency energy heats selected tissue beneath the skin’s surface. Depth and energy are tailored to the area and your skin. These two actions support the skin’s repair and collagen-remodelling response.

Face & neck skin laxity

For selected concerns involving early loss of firmness and a crepey-looking texture. Treatment is assessed around skin thickness, facial anatomy and the result you want.

Body skin laxity

An option for suitable loose or crepey-looking body skin. Assessment distinguishes skin laxity from excess fat or muscle separation, so your plan targets the actual concern.

Acne scars & suitable healed scars

May improve the appearance of indented acne scarring and selected fully healed scars. Scar type and depth influence the plan; complete removal is not promised.

Stretch marks

May be considered to improve the appearance of suitable stretch marks and surrounding texture. Body areas need their own assessment, treatment settings and recovery plan.

Fine lines & wrinkles

Aims to soften the appearance of selected lines through progressive skin remodelling. It does not produce the same outcome as a surgical lift.

Uneven texture & visible pores

For textural irregularity and the appearance of enlarged pores, following assessment of skin condition and suitability.

Body skin laxity

Skin tightening is not just a facial treatment.

If your concern is loose, crepey-looking skin on the body, Derma RF deserves a place in the consultation—not just face and neck treatments. We can assess concerns on areas such as the abdomen, upper arms or thighs and confirm which areas are appropriate for treatment with our device.

Changes after weight loss, pregnancy or ageing can involve skin, fat and underlying muscle in different ways. We assess the cause and explain the limits of treatment. RF microneedling aims to improve skin quality and firmness; it does not remove a large amount of excess skin or correct muscle separation.

Body areas are quoted individually according to size and the proposed plan. Ask for a body skin-laxity assessment before selecting a facial appointment.

Your appointment

Precision begins with assessment.

Consultation & planning

Review goals, the treatment area, health, medicines, recent procedures and healing history. Discuss alternatives, likely benefit, recovery and consent before deciding.

A tailored session

Your practitioner prepares the skin and adjusts the treatment to the area. RF microneedling can feel warm and uncomfortable; comfort measures are discussed before treatment.

Aftercare & downtime

Redness, swelling, sensitivity and a sunburn-like feeling can occur. You may also experience dryness, flaking, pinpoint bleeding or bruising. Recovery varies with the area and treatment intensity.

Results & review

Skin remodelling develops over time. A course may be recommended, with intervals that allow recovery. We review response rather than promising an immediate or permanent lift.

Suitability & risks

Make an informed choice.

RF microneedling is a procedure that requires careful assessment and appropriate settings. Tell us about active skin disease or infection, medicines, pregnancy, implanted devices, recent treatments, allergies, impaired healing and a history of keloid scarring.

Alongside temporary redness and swelling, possible complications include infection, pigment changes and scarring. Serious complications such as burns, fat loss and nerve injury have been reported with some uses of RF microneedling. We explain the risks relevant to the area and your treatment plan before you consent.

Follow your individual aftercare instructions, including appropriate skincare and sun protection. Contact the clinic promptly if recovery is worsening or unexpected. Significant excess skin or some scar types may be better addressed through other options.

Questions answered

Before you book.

Can RF microneedling treat body skin laxity?

Yes, it can be considered for suitable body skin-laxity concerns after assessment. We confirm the area, device suitability, expected improvement, recovery and price. It does not replace surgery for significant excess skin.

How does it differ from Dermapen 4?

Dermapen 4 uses mechanical microneedling. Derma RF adds radiofrequency heat. The choice depends on your skin concern and risk profile; extra energy is not automatically the right option for every person. Explore Dermapen 4.

Can it help scarring and stretch marks?

It may improve their appearance in suitable cases. Fully healed scars and stretch marks need assessment of type, depth and location. Complete removal is not a realistic promise.

How many treatments will I need?

Your course depends on the area, degree of laxity or scarring and response. We explain the proposed schedule, recovery intervals and total cost before you commit.

Is there downtime?

Yes. Redness, swelling and sensitivity are possible, with recovery varying by treatment intensity and area. Plan around important events and follow the aftercare provided.
